How Microdose Marketing Went From Idea to Movement

There’s something magical about those moments when things just click. For the past week, I’ve been posting a new series called Microdose Marketing, and let me tell you, the response has been incredible- better than anything I’ve put out in a long time. But what’s even more special is how this concept came together so naturally after a lot of (let’s be honest) trial and error.

It all started with an idea I couldn’t quite force into place. A little while back, I was experimenting with something called Marketing in the Moment- a series focused on quick, actionable marketing tasks for business owners who don’t have hours to spare. The concept felt solid, but it wasn’t clicking. It didn’t fully capture what I wanted to offer or how I wanted people to feel.

So, I paused. I sat with the idea instead of bulldozing through it. And then it hit me.

The reason I loved the concept of bite-sized marketing wasn’t just because it was practical- it was because it was transformative. These weren’t just random marketing tips; they were small, meaningful actions that could help people gain momentum without feeling overwhelmed. That’s when the name Microdose Marketing popped into my head, and everything started to fall into place.

Why Microdose Marketing Works

The name felt like it captured the essence of what I wanted to create: small, intentional doses of marketing that build up over time. It’s not about diving headfirst into an exhausting, all-or-nothing strategy. It’s about steady, sustainable progress… one manageable step at a time.

For a lot of business owners, especially creatives, healers, and service providers, marketing feels like an impossible mountain to climb. The thought of crafting a full-blown strategy, posting daily on socials, AND optimizing websites? It’s a recipe for burnout before you even get started.

Microdose Marketing offers a different approach. It says, “Hey, you don’t need to tackle everything today. Just spend 10 or 20 minutes on this one thing, and you’ll start to see results.” And honestly? That shift in mindset is everything.

Building the Foundation

Once the idea clicked, I got to work. My first step was posting a few quick exercises and actionable tasks on social media to test the waters. Things like:

  • Updating your Instagram bio in 10 minutes to make it super clear who you help and how.

  • Repurposing your most popular piece of content instead of starting from scratch.

  • Tweaking the About page on your website so it actually sounds like you and speaks directly to your ideal clients.

The response was instant. People weren’t just engaging; they were doing the tasks. They were messaging me about how these small steps helped them feel less stuck and more in control of their marketing.

By the end of the first week, I knew I was onto something. Microdose Marketing wasn’t just a series; it was a movement.

Taking It to the Next Level

Today, I submitted the trademark application for Microdose Marketing, which feels like such a huge step. I’ve always believed in the power of intentional, strategic marketing, but seeing how this series resonates with people has lit a new fire under me.

The next big project? Developing guides and workbooks that bring this concept to life in an even bigger way. These will be designed for business owners who are ready to take small, actionable steps to grow their businesses without sacrificing their sanity. I’m so excited to create these resources because I know firsthand how overwhelming marketing can feel… and how much lighter it becomes when you approach it in small, intentional doses.

Why This Matters

The most surprising part of this whole journey has been how natural it feels. Microdose Marketing didn’t come from forcing an idea into existence; it came from listening to what my audience needs and trusting my instincts.

At its core, this series is about giving people permission to let go of perfectionism and take small steps forward, even when life feels messy and chaotic. And let’s be real, as a business owner with two kids and a lot on my plate, I know that feeling all too well.

Marketing doesn’t have to be all or nothing. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be consistent, intentional, and aligned with what feels doable for you.

What’s Next

The response to Microdose Marketing has been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m so excited to keep building on this momentum. Whether it’s through social media, blog posts, or downloadable guides, my goal is to make marketing feel approachable, not overwhelming. Follow the series on Instagram
