Releasing into the River Guided Meditation Script
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and then close your eyes. Fill your lungs with a deep inhale via your nose, and then gently let it out through your mouth.
Focus on relaxing your entire body from head to toe while you continue to breathe deeply. Start at the top of your head, allowing a warm, soothing sensation to spread across your scalp while you let go of tension in your face, forehead, and eyes.
Let the warmth to spread from your fingertips all the way down to your neck and shoulders, relaxing and releasing your muscles as it does so.
Now that you're feeling relaxed, your upper back, chest, and abdomen are all relieved of tension as the warmth moves down your spine.
Feel the warmth transferring to your hips, pelvis, and lower back.
Now that the warmth has moved down your legs, it helps you feel more grounded in this present by relieving tension in your thighs, knees, calves, and feet.
Take a moment to picture yourself at the edge of a lush, green forest. You may hear the soothing sound of flowing water as you venture further into the forest. As you move closer to the sound, you can see a stunning, clear river running calmly through the surrounding area.
You take a minute to reflect on the difficulties you confront in both your personal and professional life as you make your way to the river's edge. Imagine yourself surrounded by love and understanding as you face these difficulties and that you will find the fortitude and resiliency to overcome them.
See each worry, tension, and concern as a little leaf as you gaze down at the rushing stream. Put these leaves, one by one, gently onto the surface of the river. See them being carried away by the water like they carry your burdens away, making you feel lighter and more at rest.
Once you let go of your problems, take a minute to reflect on the good things in your life, such as your loved ones, your achievements, and your aspirations. Enjoy the warmth and joy they bring into your life, and use this inspiration to give you the power and drive you need to continue on with renewed vigor.
Spend a moment considering your work goals while mentally clear and concentrated. Imagine yourself accomplishing things with assurance, originality, and a sense of renewed purpose.
Take a moment to bring your attention back to your body as you get ready to leave this meditation. You can still feel the comforting warmth that grounds you in the here and now.
Start gradually deepening your breaths by using your lips for exhalation instead of your nose. With each breath, feel your chest and abdomen expand and contract.
Reintroduce mobility to your body gradually, beginning with your fingers and toes. Feel the energy return to your muscles as you slowly extend your arms and legs.
Gently open your eyes when you're prepared, feeling reenergized, calm, and prepared to concentrate on your personal and professional goals.
